Ouachita Women's Tennis Association 2010 Election Ballot

We have important items for the ballot this year. It is time to elect new OWTA officers and Board Members. According to our OTWA Bylaws, we are to elect a new President and Vice President and 2 new board members this year. The Secretary and Treasurer are to be elected in odd numbered years. So, Valerie Matejowsky will be continuing as Secretary. (Thank you, Valerie.) As many of you know Racquel Kaelbaerer who had served as Treasurer has moved. We thank Racquel for her hard work and wish her well. Debbie Garner has agreed to serve as Treasurer for the remainder of the term. (Thank you, Debbie). So, we will need to elect a third new board member to replace Debbie.

Also, as you may have seen, the City of Monroe has raised court fees from $1.50 per person to $2.00 per person. This leaves us with a choice of whether to raise our OWTA fees or somehow cut expenses. It has been suggested that we cut expenses by forgoing the prize pins. Winners would be announced in the newspaper and posted on the OWTA web site. So, we are asking you to vote on that issue.
